鈴木謙介（すずき・けんすけ）
1976年福岡県生まれ。関西学院大学助教。国際大学グローバルコミュニケーションセンター研究員。
専攻は理論社会学。2002年の『暴走するインターネット』以来、ネット、ケータイなど、情報化社会の最新の事例研究と、政治哲学を中心とした理論的研究を架橋させながら、独自の社会理論を展開している。2005年の『カーニヴァル化する社会』以降は、不安定を強いられる若者たちの感覚をベースにした議論も増えている。
「Deep Breath Project」名義で作家・桜井亜美の映像作品に楽曲を提供するなど、音楽活動も行っていたが、現在では開店休業状態。サブカルチャー方面への関心も高く、2006年より、TBSラジオで「文化系トークラジオ Life」のメインパーソナリティをつとめており、また同番組のテーマソングも手がける。「Life」は2008年、第45回ギャラクシー賞ラジオ部門において大賞を受賞。
2009年からは、NHK教育テレビにて放送の「青春リアル」において、若者たちが語り合う「リアル・タウン」の「町長」として番組に参加している。
Kensuke Suzuki is a assistant professor at KWANSEI GAKUIN University and a research fellow at Center for Global Communications, International University of Japan.
He is a specialist in theoretical sociology, and on the matters of Internet, information society, and youth culture. As a well-known public intellectual, he is a frequent commentator on mass media, publishes numerous articles in academic, intellectual, and general journals, newspapers, and other media extensively.
His single-authored books deal with globalization, the social and psychological aspects of the network society, sociology of cyberspace, and sociological theories. He published five co-authored books, four book chapters. He holds a Master’s degree in sociology from Hosei University. He is also known as the main personality (DJ) for TBS Radio’s late night talk show “Cultural Talk Radio Life” since 2006 and MC for NHK’s program “Youth Real” since 2009.
